Obituary

SALEM- Helen D. (Kozlowski) Donovan, 83, wife of the late Leo J. Donovan, of Salem, died Tuesday, October 14, 2003, in the Salem Hospital following a short illness.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Heronin “Harry” and Helena (Raczkowska) Kozlowski and was a resident of Salem for most of her life.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years as a baker at the former Bowman’s Bakery on Essex Street, Salem.

Mrs Donovan is survived by five sons, Richard E. Donovan of Las Vegas, Nevada, Robert W. and his wife Paula R. Donovan of Wenham, Michael J. Donovan of Salem, Philip L. Donovan of Boston, Mark D. Donovan of Beverly, four grandchildren, Ellen and her husband Keith Larson of Moline, Illinois, Richard and his wife Laura Donovan, Adam and his wife Karen Donovan, all of San Diego, California, Nicole and her husband Charles Donnellan of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania three sisters, Blanche Kozlowski, Clara Kozlowski, Irene Kozlowski all of Salem and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Stephen, Joseph, Edward and Clarence Kozlowski, and two sisters, Mary Claveau and Jane O’Hara..

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at 10 am in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Friday, 4 to 7 pm. Burial is in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
