Worcester- Charlotte A. (Kimball) Lovejoy, 84, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves a son, Robert J. Lovejoy and 3 daughters, Deborah Savage of North Brookfield, Rebecca Solo of Michigan and Kimberly Lovejoy of Worcester; a grandson, Emil; many nieces and nephews, and her beloved lab, Lyra. Charlotte's husband of 57 years, Robert J. Lovejoy; 2 brothers, Raymond Kimball and Ralph Truell; 2 sisters, Ruth Quaranta and Jessica Chase; and her devoted Brittney Spaniel, Shadow, all predeceased her.
Charlotte was born in Worcester, daughter of George W. and Gertrude A. (Morse) Kimball. Following graduation from high school, she devoted her time and energy to raising her family, which remained the main focus of her life. She was a member of Chaffins Congregational Church in Holden, was a Rainbow Girl, enjoyed traveling, especially to Maine, and loved reading books, especially mysteries.
A graveside service and burial will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
