Obituary

Emilia A. Richard, 86, of Woonsocket, formerly of Main St., Albion, died Thursday evening at Oakland Grove Health Center surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Leo J. Richard. They were married for 58 years.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Felix and Fedora (Blanchard) Fortier. She was raised in Woonsocket and resided in Albion since her marriage.
Mrs. Richard was employed by Berkshire-Hathaway for over 20 years and later worked for American Tourister in Albion before retiring.
She was a longtime parishioner of St. Ambrose. Her life centered around her family and her parish. Emilia and her husband Leo cherished time spent with their extended family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister, Emelda Richard of Attleboro, and several generations of nieces and nephews and their families. She was the mother of the late Richard Carpentier. and sister of the late Edward, Emile, Leo, George, and Walter Fortier, Aldora J. Cadorette, and Ella Violette.
Her funeral will be Tuesday at 8:30 am from the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Ambrose Church, School St. Albion. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
