Carmine J. Giuggio Sr., 84 of Medford formerly of the North End of Boston died Tuesday after a long illness in the Winchester Hospital Winchester, MA.
Born in Boston, he lived in Medford for the past 50 years and was the son of the late Giuseppe and Filomena (Giacobbe) Giuggio.
Carmine was a Shipper with C. Pappas Co. in South Boston for 40 years and retired 20 years ago. He also worked at Wonderland Race Track in Revere for 40 years. Carmine was a late U.S. Coast Guard veteran of WW II and a late member of Local 25.
Beloved husband of Jennie (Sarno). Devoted father of Carmine Giuggio Jr. of Melrose, Joseph Giuggio of Medford, Jeannie Giuggio of Topsfield, Camille Passatempo and her husband Steven of Medford. Loving grandfather of Alesandra, Carmine III, and Michael Giuggio, Steven and Jenna Passatempo.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 11:30 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9.
Services will conclude with entombment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
