WASHINGTON…Lillie McIntyre, 91, of Washington, passed away at 1:05 a.m., Friday, March 26, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Lillie was born on November 11, 1918 in McNairy County, Tennessee to William Cody and Cora Roten Leonard. She married Neil McIntyre, who died in 1962.
Among those surviving are three daughters, Kay (Paul) Giles of Washington, Shirley (Wayne) Reynolds of East Peoria and Helen (Don) Wilding of Springfield, Illinois; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Lillie was also preceded in death by 3 brothers.
She had worked at Washington Christian Village as a cook for 28 years prior to her retirement.
Lillie attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria and loved to cook, quilt and make jelly in her spare time.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home with her grandson, Pastor Jim Reynolds officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Sunday. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Selmer, Tennessee.
