Marjorie K. (Minter) Butland, 65, of Haverhill, MA, passed away on
> Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010 at the Lawrence General Hospital, following a
> long and courageous battle with breast cancer.
> Marjorie was born in Mexico, Missouri. For the past 30 years she worked
> as a real estate agent for various realtors, most recently Coldwell Banker
> in Haverhill, MA. Marjorie was a dedicated member of St. Augustine’s
> Church where she served as a Lector and a Eucharistic Minister. She was
> an avid golfer at both the Andover Country Club and Campbell’s Scottish
> Highland. Marjorie was an active volunteer within her community and
> throughout her illness she reached out to other women suffering from
> breast cancer. She was passionate about her work and most enjoyed
> spending time with her family and she will be dearly missed by all that
> knew her.
> Marjorie sadly left her loving husband of 45 years, Richard M. Butland,
> who passed shortly after her on Wednesday. She is predeceased by her
> father, James W. Minter and a nephew, James H. Minter. Marjorie leaves
> her mother Elizabeth (Righley) Minter of Monroe Township, NJ, two
> children, Alison Pyott and her husband Christopher of Portsmouth, NH and
> Timothy Butland of S. Burlington, VT, a brother, James R. Minter and his

> at the Charles F. Dewhirst Andover Funeral Home, 33 Pearson St., Andover,
> MA. A Funeral Mass will be held in celebration of Marjorie and Richard
> Butland at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Augustine’s Church, Andover.
