George G. King, Jr. age 76 of Canton passed away March 24th at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. Born in Boston, he was raised in Revere and graduated from Boston English High School, New York University and received his Master’s in Education from Boston University. He was a Physical Education teacher and Track Coach for Canton High School for 40 years before retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Mass Track & Field Coaches Assn, Mass Track & Field Officials Assn and an active member of the United Church of Christ in Canton. Beloved husband of the late Doris A. (Williams). Father of George G. III & his wife Dorothy of MO, John G. & his wife Rene of PA, Scott W. & his wife Elizabeth of Attleboro and the late Nancy Ann King. Grandfather of Samantha, Hallie Ann, Caitlin & Harrison. Brother of William King of Charlestown, James King of Revere, Margaret Crepeau of RI & John Graham of TX. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday 4-8 pm. Funeral service at the United Church of Christ 1541 Washington St. Canton Saturday morning at 10. Burial private.
