Methuen, MA – June R. (Lafrenier) Brearley, 91, died Tuesday at Caritas Holy Family Hospital.
Born in Lawrence June 6, 1918, she was the daughter of Leo and Florence (Goodwin) Lafrenier. For many years Mrs. Brearley had been employed as a House Keeper with many local church’s.
June had been a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Methuen prior to its closing, she loved square dancing with her late husband at Slips and Clutches and served as their secretary. June was active in Methuen Little League. She always attended her grandchildren, and greatgrandchildrens games whether it be baseball, soccer, or softball. They said she was our biggest cheerleader.A lifelong resident of Methuen June was the widow of Herbert G. Brearley.
Survivors include a son Russ “Bud” and his wife Joyce Brearley of Methuen, and her daughter Karen L. and husband George Mansur of Palm Bay, Florida, grandchildren; Deborah and her husband Dave Donegan of Atkinson, NH, Lori Mercier, Cindy Ste Marie, Melissa and her husband James Curtis Setty, and Kevin Mansur and his wife Jennifer all of Palm Bay, Florida, as well as greatgrandchildren;Amanda, Meaghan, Patrick, Jennifer, Jon, DJ, Adam, Curtis,, Brandon, Heather, Ashley, Jessica, Sarah, Tyler, Abigail, and Noah, and one greatgreatgrandson Robert-Michael.
Friends will be warmly received on Friday from 6-9 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
Funeral Services will take place on Saturday morning at 9 o’clock from the funeral home with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels Merrimack Valley Nutrition Program 57 River Road Andover, Massachusetts 01810.
