Dr. Barry D. Podell, 81, Clarksville, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Curtis Mize officiating. Burial will be in Wellwood Cemetery, Farmington, New York. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born October 14, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY son of the late Murray Podell and Anne Feingold Podell. Dr. Podell was a retired physician. He served in the U.S. Army and Navy. Survivors include his wife, Anna Louise Smith Podell; three daughters, Barbara Wells (Richard)Olathe, KS; Stephanie Runey, LaVergne, TN; and Martha Richards, Hop Bottom, PA; three step-sons, Rob Hunt (Phyllis), Allen Hunt (Gwen); and Burnley Hunt (Debbie), all of Clarksville; and two grandchildren, Jessica Waugh and Timothy Richards.
