Harry LeRoy Geist, 81, Clarksville, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at his home. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Johnstown, PA. The remains are to be cremated. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born August 31, 1928 in Ashland, PA son of the late John LeRoy Geist and Eleda Benning Geist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jean Geist, son Harry Geist, Jr., and grandson, Scott Singer. He was a retired United States Steel worker. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include two sons, David Geist, Wellsville, NY; and Alan Geist (Robin), Alma, NY; two daughters, Terry Malatesta (Al MaChesney),Canniseto, NY; and Susan Billings (Ken), Clarksville, TN; a sister, Laura Geist; ten grandchildren, Stacy, Stephen, Lee Marie, Joshua, Melissa, Ruth, Bethany, Adam, Amber, and Collette; and seven great-grandchildren.
