In Middleboro, March 23, 2010, at the age of 94, Francis J. Balfe husband of the late Flora A. (Walton) Balfe. Born in Taunton and a resident of Raynham, Francis was the son of the late Francis H. and Katherine (Long) Balfe. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Taunton and was a retired Nuclear Inspector for Texas Instruments for twenty three years. Francis was a avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing hunting, boating and spending time at his cottage at White Horse Beach. Father of Patricia A. Martin and her husband Thomas of Raynham. Grandfather of Shawn M. Cochrane and his wife Wendy of Berkley, Tracy LaBree and her husband Douglas of Dighton and Gordon Cochrane Jr. of Raynham. Great Grandfather of Emily, Zachary, Chelsea, Ashley, Aimee and Alexandra. Brother of the late Jack Laffan, Helen Laffan, Mitt Laffan, Catherine Fearon and Ann Carey. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Friday March 26th at 10 AM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 11 AM.
