Gertrude J. Presentato, 80
Gertrude J.(Rozuck) Presentato, 80, of Mansfield formerly of Walpole passed away peacefully on Monday March 22, 2010 at the Harrington House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Walpole. She was the beloved wife of Mario L. Presentato to whom she was wed on October 19, 1952.
Born in Walpole, MA on December 10, 1929 she was a loving daughter of the late Ignatous and Julia (Lasavoe) Rozuck.
Gert grew up in Walpole, was educated in Walpole public schools and was a 1947 graduate of Walpole High School. Following graduation she worked for several years as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Huff in Walpole before starting her family.
Mrs. Presentato had made her home in Mansfield for over 40 years and prior to retiring was employed as a Real Estate Agent.
Gert was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield and was a member of the Mansfield Garden Club. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed quilting and a special love for dogs.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her devoted sons Mark L. Presentato and his wife Teresa of New Mexico, Jay D. Presentato and his wife Robin of Mansfield and Peter A. Presentato and his wife Laura of Mansfield. She was the dear sister of Mary Rich of Walpole, the late Anne Carlson and is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Nicholas, Joseph, Anthony, Katie and Meghan Presentato all of Mansfield.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday March 26th at 8:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Walpole.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday March 25th from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Gert’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Mansfield Animal Shelter P.O. Box 25 Mansfield, MA 02048.
