Jeremiah M. Pezzano, 67

Dateline: Norton, MA

Jeremiah M. Pezzano, 67, of Norton formerly of Readville passed away on Monday March 22, 2010 at the VA Hospital in West Roxbury. He was the beloved husband of Judith A. (McQuarrie) Pezzano.
Born in the Readville section of Boston on October 11, 1942 he was a son of the late Anthony J., Sr. and Catherine (Bongo) Pezzano.
Jerry grew up in Readville where he began his education at St. Anne’s Church School and later graduated in 1960 from Hyde Park High School.
On May 7, 1962 he was inducted into the United Sates Army and served during the Vietnam Era. He was honorably discharged from service on May 6, 1964 with the rank of Private First Class.
Mr. Pezzano was a retired Automotive Mechanic and prior to retiring had been employed for 34 years at the Boston Trailer Co. in Walpole.
Jerry loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was also an ardent NASCAR fan and enjoyed the wonderful times spent in the presence of his adoring family. He was a member of the Norton VFW Post 8049 and had made his home in Norton for the past 35 years.
In addition to his beloved wife of 43 years he is survived by his devoted children Cheryl-Lynn Willcott and her husband Norman of Norton and Todd M. Pezzano and his wife Shannon of Attleboro. He was the dear brother of Anthony J. Pezzano, Jr. of Readville, Christine DeMarco of Mansfield and the late Eleanor Burke. Mr. Pezzano is also survived by his cherished granddaughters Chelsea Willcott and Alyssa Riley, his lifelong best friend Charlie Burke of Foxboro and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday March 26th at 11:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St.(Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial with military honors will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday March 25th from 4-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Jerry’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
