Obituary

Mr. Jack B. Maib, 81, passed away Sunday March 21, 2010 at the Lowell General Hospital.

He was born June 28, 1928 in Lexington Missouri, a son of the late Carl and Cecil (Burris) Maib.

Mr. Maib was educated through the Lexington Missouri schools. He enlisted in the military in 1945 and retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 1970. Following his military career, he worked at Wang Laboratories helping with government contracts for the military.

He was an active member of the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell.

Mr. Maib is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years, Rene "Bunny" (Kokinacis) Maib of Dracut, two sons, George Maib of Florida, Carl Maib and his wife Lisa of Dracut, a daughter, Eugenia Maib of Florida, eight grandchildren, Jack, Nicole, Alexa, Joshua, Rachel, Sara, Jack and Alivia; also several cousins.

Relatives and friends will be received at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M. The funeral will take place on Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. from the Funeral Home, to be followed by services at the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church at 11:30 A.M. Interment in Westlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 1332 North Halsted, Suite 201, Chicago, Illinois 60642.
