B. “Jimmy” Pace

...formerly of Tewksbury; 69

ORLANDO, FL - Bernard James “Jimmy” Pace, age 69, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, at his homeafter a year long battle with cancer. He was the husband of Dorothy “Dottie” (Riddle) Pace, withwhom he had celebrated a 45th wedding anniversary this past July 27th..

He was born in East Boston, Mar. 21, 1934, a son of Mildred (Dwyer)(Pace) Hall of Tewksburyand the late William S. Pace. He was raised in Tewksbury, and graduated Tewksbury MemorialHigh School. He moved to Central Florida in 1976.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1955.

He worked in residential and commercial construction during his career as both a cement finisherand roofer.

As a resident of Tewksbury he was a communicant of St. Dorothy’s Church in Wilmington, andfor the past 27 years a communicant of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Orlando. He was also amember of the Elks, and a Bishop Moore Volunteer.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Steve Bite ofLancaster, CA; two sons, William “Billy” Pace of Los Angeles, CA, and Bernard James Pace ofOrlando, FL; two granddaughters, Stephanie Bite and Samantha Pace; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret Celata of East Boston, Mary Lou and her husband David Allen of No.Chelmsford, Roberta and her husband John Deputat, Kathleen and her husband Michael Jasilewiczall of Tewksbury; three brothers and sisters-in-law, William Pace of Topsfield, Carl Pace ofBillerica, and Joseph and his wife Nancy Pace of No. Andover; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Albert Riddle and Kate Murry of Merrimack, NH, Arthur and Jane Riddle, Charles and KateRiddle all of Tewksbury, Brian and Joan Riddle, Carol and George Kenyon, and William Riddleall of Methuen, Michael Riddle of Wilmington, Joan Pollard of Newton, Arlene Pappalardo ofHarwich; aunts and uncles, Dottie and Ollie Tally of Medford, OR, and Raymond Dwyer ofTreasure Island, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also brother of the late Rose Wallace.

Visiting hours Friday, Oct. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Dobbs Funeral Home, 430 N. KirkmanRd. Orlando. Funeral Mass, Sat., Oct. 18, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrews Church.

In lieu offlowers, memorials to the Hospice of Orange and Osceola, 1 Winter Park Bldg., 1801 Lee Rd.,Suite, Winter Park, FL 32789, will be appreciated.

A MEMORIAL MASS will be held Sat. Oct. 25, at 11:00 a.m. in ST. WILLIAM’S CHURCH,1351 Main St. (Rte 38) TEWKSBURY. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
