Manchester-Leo B. Gagnon, 70, died peacefully March 20, 2010 at Community House in Merrimack after a lengthy battle with cancer in the presence of family.
He was born June 25, 1939 in Manchester the son of Bertrand and Laurette (Groulx) Gagnon. He was a graduate of Manchester West High School class of 1958 and earned an Associates degree from NH College.
He served his country in the Army National Guard. He worked for 21 years at Northern Telecom in Concord and 13 years at Sanders (Lockheed) in Nashua, mostly in management.
He enjoyed 15 years of retirement in Hilton Head, SC and Leesburg, FL, where he worked and lived on the golf course.
IN HIS LIFE: Family members include his wife of 48 years, Anita L. (Genest) Gagnon of Manchester; son Michael L. Gagnon of Natick, MA; daughter Lori D. Edwards and her husband Michael Edwards of Virginia Beach, VA; six grandchildren and one great grandson. He is also survived by his sister Madeleine Legay and husband Joseph Legay; brother in law Robert Genest and sister-in-law Lorraine Drolet, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St., A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM in Parish of the Transfiguration, Kelley St. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
