William A. "Bill" Brink, 63

HOLLY HILL, FLORIDA: William A. "Bill" Brink, of Holly Hill, Florida, formerly of Worcester, born July 30, 1946, in Springfield, Vermont, died March 19, 2010 in Edgewater, Florida, following a long illness. Mr. Brink is the son of William L. (d.1991) and Charlotte (Humphreys) Brink (d.1997). He is a graduate of North High School, 1964, and earned an Associates is Science degree from Becker Junior College.

Inducted into the United States Army on November 17, 1965, Mr. Brink served in South Korea as a Helicopter Maintenance Crewman and received an Honorable Discharge with the rank of Specialist Fourth Class on August 22, 1967.

After his discharge, Mr. Brink was employed at Norton Company, now Saint-Gobain Corporation, from 1967 through 2000. Among his positions in Plant 8 were Large Wheel Foreman and In-Process Inspector.

Following his retirement from Saint-Gobain Corporation, Mr. Brink moved to Florida, living in Port Orange and Holly Hill.

Mr. Brink leaves two daughters, Lisa Marie Brink and Erin Michelle Brink of Worcester, and grandsons Michael, Ryan, and Liam, a brother Keith Humphreys of Port Orange, Florida, a sister Janet Brink-Thomas, of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, a brother Wayne Brink of Worcester, a nephew Mark Thomas of Taneytown, Maryland, a niece Susanne Trotta of North Attleboro and a nephew Charles Edward Thomas III of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Brink enjoyed golf and billiards, and was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He appreciated music and socializing. Mr. Brink was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3282 Florida, and had been an Associate Member of Friends of the American Legion, Chester P. Tuttle Post 279 in West Boylston.

Memorial calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 10:00 am-1:00 pm in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. Burial will be at a later date in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
