Florence M. McCusker, 90, of Kingston, NH, died Friday, March 19, 2010 in the Oxford Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Haverhill, MA. Mrs. McCusker was born in Saugus, MA on December 19, 1919, daughter of the late Gifford and Mary (O'Brien) Melanson. She was a resident of Haverhill for the past 8 years, formerly living in Kingston. Mrs. McCusker was a member of the Riverside Raceway in Lebanon, ME. She also enjoyed crocheting baby outfits and dolls.
She is survived by her son; Arthur F. McCusker Jr. and his wife Jacquelyn of Hampstead, NH, five daughters, Sue Rowe and her husband Joe of Raymond, NH, Rosemarie McCusker of Kingston, Margaret Pfifferling of Haverhill, Muriel Bernier and her husband George of Dracut, MA, Mary Bowles of Groveland, MA, a daughter in law, Celeste McCusker of Haverhill, 22 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and also by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur F. McCusker Sr. in 1999, her son, James L. McCusker and by her brother and sisters.
Visiting hours were held on Monday, March 22, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 10:30am Tuesday in St. Anne Church, 26 Emerson Ave., Hampstead. Burial was in the Holy Angels Cemetery, Plaistow, NH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Activity Fund at Oxford Manor, 689 Main St., Haverhill, MA 01830.
