Alice C. Brennan, 76, passed away at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford on March 19th, 2010. She was born in Boston on January 20th, 1934 to her parents Thomas and Rosemary (Malone) Hubbard. Alice was raised and educated in Somerville, graduating from Somerville High School, Class of 1952. She has been a resident of Malden for the past 47 years. Alice worked as an operator for New England Telephone for several years. She has been a long time parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church in Malden where she served as a member of the choir and as an extraordinary minister. She also taught religious education at the parish for many years. Alice was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and was a proud member of the Melrose Garden Club. She is survived by her husband, Austin D. Brennan; by her children; Thomas Brennan of Stoneham, Kevin Brennan and his wife Pam of Fairfax, Virginia, Christopher Brennan and his wife Lauri of Wakefield and Rosemary Christopher and her husband Michael of Malden; by her grandchildren Austin, Cameron, Lucas and Danielle; and by her siblings; Thomas Hubbard and his wife Pat of Medford, John Hubbard and his wife Celine of Stoneham, Rosemary Anderson of Melrose and Anne Hubbard of Medford. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Monday March 22nd at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday March 21st from 2-6 PM.
