Miss Mary J. Costa, age 89 died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003 at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center after a brief illness. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Frank & Madeline (Calapai) Costa.
Miss Costa was a lifelong Medford resident. Mary worked as a salesperson for Filene´s in Boston for over 10 years, retiring in 1966.
Mary was the loving sister of Anthony J. Costa and Catherine Alibrandi both of Quincy, Jenny Faretra of Burlington, the late Lucy Scalfani and Phyllis Lutoff. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 3 thru 7. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
