In Taunton, March 16, 2010 Rita G. Cyr, age 90, passed away peacefully in her home after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Eddie Cyr. Rita was born in Fall River to her late parents Edward & Valeda (Campbell) Gordan. Rita was educated in Fall River schools then graduated from Taunton High School. She enjoyed reading, square dancing and the time she shared with her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rita is survived by her daughters Joan Dutra and her husband Ronald of Lakeville, Annette Beaulieu of Taunton. Her grandchildren Cheryl Smith & her husband Steve of Lakeville, Lynn Swift & her husband Mark of Middleboro and her great grandchildren Laura & Leah Swift. Her late brothers Ronald & Edward Gordan and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church in Taunton on Saturday, March 20th at 11am. Visiting hours are omitted. Interment in the family lot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton. Donations in Rita’s memory may be made in lieu of flowers to the Charity on Ones Choice.
