Friends of Marjatta Kyllikki (Anttila) Doherty and family are invited to an informal gathering to remember the many good things in her life.
It will be held at Stonington Country Club (394 Taugwonk Road, Stonington; www.stoningtoncountryclub.com) at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 27.
Marjatta was born in Finland on March 2, 1948, qualified as a teacher of fabric arts (sewing, knitting, weaving) in Helsinki and taught in Finland and England before moving to Cincinnati in 1979 and Stonington in 1990 with her husband (Niall) and children (Jussi and Eeva). She enjoyed quilting, gardening, yoga and travel.
