Ida (Pereira) Souza, age 89 of Swansea, passed away March 16, 2010. She was the widow of James Souza. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Santos) Pereira. She was a Homemaker, and a member of St. John of God Church.
She is survived by 1 son: Robert Souza & his wife Marie of Buzzards Bay, MA. 3 Grandchildren: Dawn, Jeffrey, and Travis Souza all of Buzzards Bay. 1 Sister: Alda Viveiros of Somerset. Goddaughter: Cynthia Belloni of Swansea and several nieces & nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. FRIDAY at 9:00 A.M. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours THURSDAY 4-7 P.M.
