Mrs. Janna M. (Jacques) Morris, of Taunton, died Monday, March 15 in Morton Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late George Morris. She was born 94 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Kostan and Mary (Polak)
Jacques. She was educated in Taunton, graduating from Taunton High School, and was a graduate of Tufts University in Medford, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. She received her Teaching Certificate from Bridgewater State College. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a teacher at Hopewell School in Taunton for many years. Mrs. Morris had previously been employed by
the City of Taunton School System for a number of years. She had formerly been employed as a secretary at Camp Myles Standish during World War II, where she met her late husband, George. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality, the Polish-American Citizens Club, the Mass. Teachers Association and served with the
Polish Picnic Committee at Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed squaredancing, playing tennis, doing crossword puzzles, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a communicant of the Holy Rosary Church.

4 grandchildren: Keith Morris, Lynn Morris, Brian Pardo and Katrina Pardo
several nieces and nephews
Mrs. Morris was also the sister of the late John Jacques and George Jacques.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Friday, March 19 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and
friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the American Cancer
