Obituary

Louise (Polcari) Bevilacqua, died peacefully at home in the company of her loving family. She was 89. A Medford resident for over 66 years, Louise was born and raised in Boston’s North End. She was a devoted wife and mother and a friend to many. She was the last of the Bee Wise girls, a social group started over 70 years ago in the North End.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Bevilacqua. She was a devoted mother to Adeline Del Bene, Charles Bevilacqua and his wife Karen, Susan Buckley and her husband Kevin and Anthony Bevilacqua. She was the mother-in-law of the late James Del Bene. She was a dear sister to Josephine Polcari and John Polcari and his wife Lucie, the late Ella DiMatteo, Anthony Polcari and Charles Polcari. She was a loving grandmother to Joy Littrell and her husband Ryan, Jessica Buckley, Steven Buckley, Michelle Buckley and an aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday morning, March 17, from 8:30 to 10:30 followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, Warner St. Medford/ Somerville, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Louise’s name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
