ROCKINGHAM: Ms. Doris Wilson Ricketts, 70, died Saturday, March 13, 2010 in her home.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 16, in the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Wadesboro with Rev. Randy Swaringen officiating.
Doris was born in Ozark, Missouri on March 27, 1939, daughter of the late Ralph and Wilma Melton Wilson. Prior to her retirement she had worked as an Administrator in the broadcast radio industry. She was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church and spent her spare time hand-making ornate dolls. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Gaye Ricketts.
She is survived by three sons, Curtis Ricketts of Clayton, Stephen Ricketts of Wadesboro, Scott Ricketts of Rockingham; a daughter Terri Burris of Wadesboro; a brother, Jerry R. Wilson of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 PM Monday evening at Russell-Marks Funeral Home, with a memorial service at 7:00.
