Mary J. Coleman, 91, passed away at home in Medford on March 13th, 2010. She was born in Medford on June 23rd, 1918 to her parents James and Mary (Doherty) Devine. Mary was raised and educated in Medford, graduating from Medford High School, Class of 1936. She was a homemaker who raised her family in neighboring New England States for many years until returning home to Medford in 1971. For many years she has been a summer resident of Great Neck in Ipswich where she enjoyed the company of family and friends. Mary has been a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Parish in Malden for most of her life. She is survived by her children; Michael Coleman and his wife Phary of Medford, Kathy Coleman and her husband Larry Weathers of Arlington, Maura Coleman McNiff and her husband Al of Arlington, Noelle Coleman Aylward and her husband Redmond of Stow and Brian Coleman and his wife Judy of Reading; by her son-in-law John Gorman of Rowley and her daughter-in-law Connie Coleman of Salisbury; by her grandchildren; Ceara, Brett, Jessica, Fiona, Eammon, Ned, Ryan, Liam, Annie, Brendan, Justin, Margy and Ryley; by her great grandchildren Seamus, Myles and Finn; and by her siblings; Helen Devine of Medford, John Devine of Melrose and Jim Devine of Incline Village, Nevada. Along with her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, William P. Coleman; by her daughter, Margaret Coleman Gorman; by her sister, Anne Devine; and by her brother Eddie Devine. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Wednesday March 17th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Interment is private. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday March 16th from 4-8 PM.
