Worcester – Charles E. Bonardi, Jr., 67, of Worcester who was a loving, husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Friday, March 12, 2010. Charles was born in Worcester, son of Mary and Charles Bonardi Sr.
Charles is survived by his wife of 47 years Florence A. Bonardi; a son David Bonardi and his wife Lisa of Worcester; a daughter Diane Berthel and her husband James of Worcester; three brothers and two sisters Joseph and Bertha Bonardi of Auburn, Nicholas and Agnes of New Hampshire, Richard and Patricia of Florida, Veronica Bello of Worcester and Teddy and Dr. Richard Grossman of Worcester; five grandchildren Tara, Jake, Kori, Juliana and James IV and many nephews and nieces.
He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and skeet shooting. He belonged to the Auburn Lodge of Elks and the 200 Sportsman’s Club.
Charles above all cherished his family. He adored the time he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. They were his inspiration and life’s joy. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be privately held in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Burial will be in Saint John’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
