BARE, MICHAEL P. of South Boston age 55, March 10, 2010. Beloved husband of 23 years and best friend of Pauline (Wiley) Bare. Devoted son of the late Arthur and Marion (Powers) Bare. Brother of Joanne Sullivan-Bromberg of Salsbury; John “Kevin” Cefail of Dorchester; Ronald Cefail of Medford; Paul Bare of Stoughton; Janice Whelan of Quincy and the late Donna Cefail. Brother-in-law of Thomas Wiley of South Boston. Devoted uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Michael was a 20 year friend of Bill W. and had a lifelong love of the South Boston community where he grew up. He was President and Founder of the South Boston Citizen’s Association Evacuation Day Heritage Committee; Past President of the South Boston Citizen’s Association; Member of Saint John’s Lodge and the Major General Henry Knox Lodge and a Scottish Rites Mason. A member of Local 453, the St. Vincent’s Neighborhood Association, the Mass Historical Society, MAPPO, and Cannons for the Castle. Past Director of the Mass Bay Credit Union; and a member of the Ft. Ticonderoga Board. Host of BNN Citizen’s Corner. Funeral from the Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston, Wednesday, on Evacuation Day, March 17th at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Monica’s Church at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday and Tuesday 4-8PM. Interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
