WORCESTER-Elda S. (St. Laurent) Desmarais, 97 formerly of 101 Chadwick Street died Saturday, January 19th in the Odd Fellows Home. Her husband Alphege Desmarais died in 1980. 3 sons Zoel C., Adolph L., and Ludger Desmarais also predeceased her. She leaves 20 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.
She was born in Winchendon daughter of Damas and Suzanne (LeBlanc) St. Laurent and spent most of her life in the Wichendon and Gardner area before moving to Worcester 25 years ago. Mrs. Desmarais worked as a salesperson for Parke & Snow for 15 years retiring in 1966.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, January 22nd from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours.
