Fairhaven -Laura (Souza) Braga, age 93, died March 10th 2010 at Our Lady's Haven Fairhaven. Laura was the widow of Manuel Braga. She was the godmother of Kathy Fidalgo of Acushnet. Mrs. Braga is predeceased by several siblings and is survived by several nieces and nephews
Mrs. Braga was a daughter of the late Maria (Lopes) and Antonio M. Souza. Laura was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all her life. Mrs. Braga was a Graduate of New Bedford High School. She enjoyed family gatherings
Mrs. Braga’s funeral will be Saturday at 8:45 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at St. Josephs Church Fairhaven at 10 A.M. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday from 5 - 7 P.M.
