Marilyn M. Dallaire, 82, of Windham, NH died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in the Windham Terrace Assisted Living Facility, Windham. Mrs. Dallaire was born in Norridgewock, ME on January 8, 1928, daughter of the late Donald and Elsie (Pratt) Johnson. She grew up in Norridgewock and graduated from Norridgewock High School in the final year of the school’s existence. She then graduated from Thomas College in Waterville, ME. Marilyn married George Flanagin and had twins, spending her time then as a homemaker. Once her boys were off to college, she worked in customer service for Sears in Middletown, CT for 10 years. Moving to Jupiter, FL she worked for over 15 years for Pratt & Whitney/United Technologies. She had also lived in Port Orange, FL prior to moving to Derry, NH in 2009. In Port Orange she was an active member of Epiphany Catholic Church. Marilyn volunteered a great deal of her time with the church’s Help Center and also the Palmetto House in Daytona Beach, helping the homeless find the vital services they needed. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Red Hat Club. She enjoyed gardening, the beach, summers at her camp and knitting afghans for her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Flanagin of Boston, MA and Mike Flanagin of Manchester, four grandchildren, Kelly Flanagin of Andover, MA, Shauna Flanagin of Billerica, MA, Ashley Flanagin of Manchester and Derrick Flanagin of Boston, a great-granddaughter, Audrey Belanger of Billerica, two sisters, Jeanette Campbell and her husband Fred and Dorothea Cloutier, all of Port Orange, FL. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George Flanagin.
Following cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, March 15, 2010 at 10:00am in St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Main St., Madison, ME. Spring burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison.
