WORCESTER-Verena (Ruiz) Clemente, 70, passed away Tuesday, March 9 at home after an illness.
She leaves two daughters, Sarai Clemente of Worcester and Gricel Cruz of Staten Island, NY; her brother, Samuel Valentin; three grandchildren nieces and nephews. Five brothers and one sister predeceased her.
She was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico the daughter of Alcides and Dolores (Ruiz) Valetin. Mrs. Clemente worked in the housekeeping department at Spring Valley Nursing Home for many years before retiring. She was a member of Iglesia de Avivamiento, Fuente de Vida Church. She loved gardening.
Visiting hours will be (Today) Thursday, March 11 from 5 to 8 PM at Iglesia de Avivamiento, Fuente de Vida Church, 23 Coral St. Her funeral service will be on Friday, March 12 at 10:00 AM at the church. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery. CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME is directing arrangements
