KATHLEEN HARRELL LITSEY, 92, passed from this life to eternal life on Tuesday, March 9, 2010.
She was born in Grayson County on January 13, 1918, the first child of John Walker and Minnie Spurrier Harrell.
Kathleen was preceded in death by an infant son, Lee Alvin Litsey, her parents, and her husband of 50 years, Russell Lee Litsey.
Kathleen is survived by their two daughters, Jeanette Litsey Westerfield and Marqueta Litsey DeJarnette; son-in-law, Rev. David A. Westerfield; grandchildren, Paul Russell Westerfield (Susan), Mary Westerfield Sparrow (Todd), Dawn DeJarnette Milby (Rev. Scott), and Lauren Litsey DeJarnette (Micheal Scott); great grandchildren, Megan Kay and Sean David Sparrow, Douglas Frederick Forbes Westerfield, Elena Kathleen and Emilee Ireland Milby, and Ronyell Dawnae DeJarnette; a brother, Doyle Spurrier Harrell of Leitchfield, KY., and a sister, Ruelma Wilson Shadburne (Bill) of Shepherdsville, KY.; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a special friend of many years, Betty Lou Orange.

Her life will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Friday, March 12, 2010 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Thursday.
The Leitchfield celebration will be held at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home, 2373 Elizabethtown Road, Leitchfield, KY. at 3 P.M. CST on Friday, March 12, 2010. Visitation will be from 1 – 3 P.M. CST Friday. Following this service, she will be laid to rest in Leitchfield Memory Gardens beside her husband, Russell.
Kathleen was a life long, active Methodist and was a member of Virginia Avenue United Methodist Church, 10015 Stonestreet Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40272. In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances sent to her church memorial fund.
