Ray Carlton Douglas, 63, of Omega died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Bob Mauldin will officiate with burial to follow. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 13, 2010, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery prior to the service.
Mr. Douglas was born on July 17, 1946 in Tifton and was the son of Ruby Brown Douglas of Omega and the late Carl William Douglas. He was a retired airplane mechanic and a United States Army Vietnam veteran.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Douglas is survived by two sons, James Cobb and Bobby Cobb, both of Fort Pierce, Florida; one daughter, Terrisa Herring of Florida; two brothers, Louie Douglas of Indian Town, Florida and Ronald Douglas of Port St. Lucie, Florida; three sisters, Mary Douglas of Omega, Shirley Mauldin of Lakeland, Florida and Ruby Taylor of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; and several grandchildren.
