James Blacow, 96, of N. Dartmouth died Monday, March 8, 2010 at Sacred Heart Home, New Bedford. Born in New Bedford, son of the late Richard Blacow, Sr. and the late Martha J. (Sharrett) Blacow, he was a lifelong resident of N. Dartmouth. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he was a self-employed shell fisherman. An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Blacow loved nature.
Survivors include 3 nephews: Richard C. Blacow, William B. Hallett and James R. Hallett.
He was brother of the late Richard Blacow, Jr., Hilda Blacow and Dorothy E. Hallett.
