Geraldine M. (Donovan) Honohan 86 of Walpole died March 8 in the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough.
Mrs. Honohan was the wife of Joseph F. Honohan for the past 57 years. They met during a USO dance in Philadelphia during World War II and later married.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, October 19, 1923 the daughter of the late Walter and Madeline (Kennedy) Donovan, Mrs. Honohan was raised in Philadelphia and had lived in Walpole since 1952.
A homemaker, Mrs. Honohan had been active in the establishing of the Blessed Sacrament School in the 1960’s and also active in the Blessed Sacrament Guild.
She enjoyed gardening and playing Bingo.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Patricia Noyes and her husband Frank of Hudson.
She is also survived by her sisters Madeline Marcotte of Lunenburg, MA, Sarita Gibney of Berwyn, PA, and her brother Walter Donovan of Southampton, PA.
She was the sister of the late Edward and Joseph Donovan and Rosemarie Santarlasci and Jeanne DeLuca.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 11 in Blessed Sacrament Church at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery South in Walpole.
