ANDOVER: Nyle Millard Dutton, 49 , died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle against ALS.
Nyle was born in Springfield, VT, February 25, 1961, he is one of 5 children.
Nyle graduated from North Middlesex High School, Townsend MA in 1979 and from the University of Lowell in 1983 with a BS in Plastics Engineering. He worked for many years and traveled extensively for Kendall Corp, Borden Global Packaging, Battenfeld Gloucester Engineering and most recently Millipore Corp of Bedford MA.
Nyle was raised on a small farm in Pepperell, had a very generous and loyal personality. Incredibly industrious, after graduating college he designed and built a home in Pepperell. He loved life, his family and friends meant everything to him. Though he enjoyed skiing, cycling, photography, yard sales and water sports, being a father and husband brought him the most joy. His eyes lit up with pride and devotion in the presence of his children and wife
Nyle is survived by his wife Doreen (Martin) Dutton, daughter Mackenzie age 15 and son Zachary age 7. Nyle was predeceased by his father Neil Dutton and is survived by his mother Micke Dutton, his brother Natt Dutton and his wife Stefanie, his sister Nim Collins and her husband Rob, his sister Nesha O’Callaghan and her husband Dan, his sister Nean Dutton as well as many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends will be warmly received on Wednesday March 10, 6:00 – 8:00 and Thursday March 11, 6:00-8:00 pm at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen, MA. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday morning at 10 o’clock March 12, 10:00 at St. Augustine’s Church in Andover with burial to follow in Spring Grove Cemetery.
