Cushing, Jr. of Stratham, NH, Annmarie Gorham of Weymouth, Richard Cushing of Lilburn, GA and Robert Cushing of Malden. Dear sister of Virginia Skiffington of California, formerly of Charlestown. Cherished grandmother of Kelley, Erin and Courtney. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith-Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Friday, March 12th at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith-Carroll Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Late member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Born in Boston and a resident of Dorchester until moving to Hyde Park in the late 1950's, Mary passed away at the Pilgrim Rehabilitation Center in Peabody Sunday afternoon at the age 83.
Prior to settling in Malden in 2000, Mary lived in Harwich from the summer of 1978 and was employed as a telephone operator for the various phone companies retiring from NYNEX in 1982.
