WORCESTER___Stanislaw M. Malkowski, 73, of Worcester, a wonderful Husband, a great Dad and an even better Grandfather passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Sunday, March 7, 2010 after a battle with cancer.
He was born in Ostroleka, Poland, a son of Michal and Zofia (Smugorzewska) Malkowski. He moved to the United States with his family in 1985. He worked at Acme Pre-Pak Corp., with his wife for many years until they both retired in 2004. Stanislaw will be so greatly missed by his wife Maryanna (Rogalski) Malkowski after a marriage of over 50 years. He also leaves a son, Zenon and his wife Beata and their daughter, Magdalene of Charlton; a daughter-in-law, Elzbieta, wife of Stanislaw’s son, Zdzislaw who died in 1995 and their daughters, Anna and Sylwia of Worcester; a brother, Stefan Malkowski, a sister, Barbara Sikora and a sister-in-law, Maria Malkowski all of Poland, he also leaves nephews, nieces, great nephews great nieces extended family and friends. He was also predeceased by a brother, Tadeusz.
Mr. Malkowski was an honest, hardworking and religious man who enjoyed taking care of his home. He also enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, long walks and helping others. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 10, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:30 A.M. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, March 9 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
