Thomas D. McCauley of Somerville on March 7, 2010. Born on February 15, 1921 in Fitchburg to Bertha and Edward McCauley. Cherished father of William McCauley of Manchester, NH and Louise McCauley of Revere. Loving brother of Donald and James McCauley and the late Maguerite, Edward, Bernice, Frances and Raymond. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visiting hours in the Brown-Flaherty Funeral Home, 261 Washington Street, Union Square, Somerville on Thursday from 5 to 7pm. Funeral Service has been omitted. Thomas was retired from the American Biltrite Co. and the Massachusetts State House under the King administration. He joined the US Army in 1942 as a member of the Battery D 459th Antiaircraft Artillery AW Battalion, faught in the Battle of Normandy in WWII., honorably discharged in 1945, Thomas was a resident of Somerville for the past 40 years.
