Ronald Alex Seper, 56, of Tifton, formerly of Saint Louis, Missouri, died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. A friend, Reginald Phillips, will give a eulogy. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Mr. Seper was born on December 8, 1953 in Saint Louis, Missouri and was the son of Albert Seper and Jane Verling Seper, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one son, Ronald Albert Seper. He moved to Georgia with a career change in 1994, leaving Steak-N-Shake after 24 years of employment, advancing from an hourly crew chief to manager of franchise field operations. During this time, he was a respected and active member of the Missouri Restaurant Association, serving as local director from 1986 to 1994, developing various training and educational programs. He was appointed to the Missouri State Board in 1994. The MO Restaurant Association recognized him for his many contributions in 1988, naming him the MO Restaurateur of the Year. In 1994, he became Vice President-Director of Operations for Stafford Development Co, d/b/a Steak ’N Shake Southern. Most recently, he was self-employed advising in managerial and operational techniques and developmental issues.
He leaves a loving and gentle wife, Glenda Peters Seper of Tifton and two step-children, Sharon Loper (Jamie Greiner) and Nicolas and Melinda Loper. He was very proud of his six step-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Kathleen Seper Unwin and her husband, Edward, and his favorite nephew, Douglas E. Unwin, all of Saint Louis, Missouri.
