Mr. Wilfred J. Lemay, age 76, a lifelong resident of Lowell and US Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War, died unexpectedly on March 3, 2010 at Lowell General Hospital.
He was born in Lowell on August 23, 1933, son of the late Noella Lemay and Gerard Bergeron. He received his education in Lowell Schools.
He served during the Korean War in the United States Marine Corps from 1953 until his honorable discharge in 1956.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as a laborer in the construction field for many years. In his earlier years, he was a foundry worker.
Survivors include his brother, Jerry Bergeron of Lowell, and many friends including a dear friend, George Poirier of Lowell.
