Obituary

Lucienne M. (St. Pierre) Dupuis in her hundredth year, a former resident of Salem and Peabody, died Friday, March 5, 2010 at Wingate of Andover following a short illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Arthur J. Dupuis.

Born and raised in Salem she was one of nineteen children of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Deschenes) St. Pierre. As a young woman she was employed by the former CBS Hytron both before and after her marriage to Arthur. Most of Mrs. Dupuis life was devoted to her husband, children and her very extended family. She was a former member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish of Peabody.

She is survived by a son Arthur J. Dupuis, Jr. & his wife Cecile of Lyman, ME, 4 daughters, Janet McDonald of Mesa, AZ, Mary Ann Koeing of Derry, NH, Anita L. Page of Salem, NH and Pauline B. Dupuis of Newton, NH. She also leaves 2 brothers, Rene St. Pierre & his wife Nancy, Richard ‘Jimmy’ St. Pierre & his wife Anne Marie all of Salem, 4 sisters, Eva Castronova of Danvers, Jeannette Maurice, Rose Ouellette & her husband Roger all of Salem, Theresa St. Pierre of Maine & Florida, as well as 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 5 sisters, Alice Viselli, Anita Collins, Louise A. Rossetti, Beatrice St. Pierre, and Cecile Fournier, 7 brothers, Raymond, Leo, Roger, Albert, Robert, Arthur and Roland St. Pierre.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 8 a.m. followed by her funeral mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, on Rt. 114 on the Salem / Peabody line at 9 a.m. Visiting hours: Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
