TAUNTON – Mary (Agrella) Silva, the wife of Mario A. Silva for the past 63 years, died at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on March 4, 2010.
She was 92.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Mary (Neves) Agrella.
Raised and educated in Taunton, Mrs. Silva worked for Texas Instruments for many years before retiring in 1982.
A communicant of St. Anthony Church, and member of the former St. Joseph Women’s Guild, she enjoyed shopping, aerobics with the Taunton Council on Aging, and sending greeting cards.
She also belonged to the Westsiders and AARP.
Besides her husband of Taunton, she leaves a daughter, Jean M. Mulligan and her husband Brian of Raynham; three brothers, Charles Agrella of Acushnet, John Agrella of Taunton and Tony Nascimento of Berkley; two sisters, Laurinda Figueiredo and Dolores Gay, both of Taunton; three grandsons, Sean and Kevin Mulligan, both of Raynham, and Brent Mulligan of New York, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Joseph Nascimento.
The family will be receiving visitors at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Monday, March 8th from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
