Rose Marie V. V. (Iacobone) (Wheeler) L’Heureux, age 83, passed away on March 4, 2010 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Henry C. L’Heureux, who died in 1991.
She was born on November 23, 1926 in Leominster, MA, daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Marrone) Iacobone and stepdaughter of the late Anna (Siniscalchi) Iacobone.
Rose is survived by her children, Joseph R. Siren of Medway, GA; Mary A. Camerota of Kennesaw, GA; Lyle J. Wheeler and Laura E. Thuillier, both of Lowell, MA; Margaret Rose Cimini of Westford, MA; and Michael K. Wheeler and his wife Valerie of Dracut, MA.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Christopher Siren, Raymond Siren, James Camerota, Michael Wheeler and his wife Kelly; Stacey Jones and her husband Anthony; Sarah Rose Lebel and her husband Sean; Justin Fallon, Lindsay Fallon, Rachel Thuillier, Jonathan Cimini, Michael Wheeler and Daniel
Wheeler.
She leaves a great-granddaughter, Jaelyn Rose Lebel and two great-grandsons, Zayne Siren and Christopher Siren Jr., and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by two brothers, Peter Iacobone and his wife Mary; and James Iacobone and his wife Marguerite, all of Leominster, MA; three sisters, Valerie Morhain and her husband Michael of Warwick, RI; Anna Bennett of Ashburnham, MA and Madeline Iacobone of Florence, MA.
She also leaves her dear friends Raymond and Gloria Friedrich of Greenfield, MA; Lorraine Finnegan, Dede, Dorothy and Armand Couillard all of Dracut, MA; Sharon Dillon, Laura Geoffroy, Whitney and Alicia Leap all of Lowell, MA; Charles Codair of Lynn, MA; and David Goddard of Westford, MA.
Before her retirement, she was employed at D’Youville Manor Nursing Home of Lowell. She also owned and operated Miss Rose’s Daycare in Lowell for many years.
She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish and past president of the NDL Ladies Sodality and past president of the Lowell Girls Club.
She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and loved going to Foxwoods.
She is predeceased by her former husband, Lyle G. Wheeler and her brother, Anthony Iacobone.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, on Monday, March 8, from 3 to 8p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 9:30a.m. at St. Margaret Church, 374 Stevens St., Lowell. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830.
