George Rocha, age 69, of Fall River, passed away March 5, 2010 at home with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Barbara (Bartlett) Rocha. Born in Fall River and the son of the late George & Isabel (Botelho) Rocha. He was a parishioner of SS. Peter & Paul Parish at Holy Cross Church and a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of the Viet Nam War. Prior to retiring, George worked as a Foreman for the Shipping & Receiving Department at Duro Finishing. After retirement, he was a Delivery Man for K.P. Manning Parts Store in Swansea. George was an avid bowler, and N.E. Patriots Fan.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his 3 daughters: Cheryl Gagliardi and husband John of Fall River; Kristine Costa and James Ainsworth of Mattapoisett, MA, and Heather Rocha of Fall River. 1 Brother: Augustine “Gus” Rocha of Fall River. 2 Grandsons: Michael & David Gagliardi & several nieces & nephews.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. TUESDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in SS. Peter & Paul Parish at Holy Cross Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours MONDAY 4-8 P.M.
