Mr. Michael Cecere, age 91 of Medford died Friday in the Life Care Center Of Stoneham. He was the husband of the late Antonia (Tucci) Cecere. Mr. Cecere was born in Boston and educated in Italy, the son of the late Giovanni and Maria (Fonzo) Cecere. He came to the United States in 1953 settling in Somerville. He has been a Medford resident since 1963. He worked in the construction industry as a steelworker.
He enjoyed gardening and was a sports fan for most Boston teams. In earlier years he enjoyed watching pro wrestling matches and was an avid fan of the WWF. Nothing gave him more enjoyment than sharing time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by one daughter: Josephine Giangrande and her husband Tony of Medford, grandchildren, Frank, Michael & Maria Giangrande and 3 Great Grandchildren.
He leaves two brothers: Domenic Cecere and his wife Josie of Chelsea, Alessandro Cecere and his wife Ida of Italy. Brother of the late Antonia Petingi. Friends may visit on Sunday from 3 thru 7 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, Monday at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
