James C. “Jimmy” Burkinshaw, 66, died Wednesday March 3, 2010 in the Riverbend Nursing Home, S. Natick. Jimmy was born in Salem, MA on August 18, 1943, son of the late Chester and R. Eileen (Clancy) Burkinshaw. In his younger years, Jimmy lived in Salem and Peabody, MA. Following his marriage in May of 1966 in Salem, MA he resided in Easthampton and Northhampton, MA. Jimmy also lived in Florida from 1991 to 1997, later returning to Newton, MA. Jimmy was the owner and operator of Lay-Zee RV Sales and Service in Whately, MA. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, and was an avid golfer, having started as a caddy at the Kernwood Country Club, Salem, MA.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne (Raymond) Burkinshaw of Derry, NH, and formerly of Londonderry, NH, two daughters, Nancy McKee of Londonderry, and Lori Burkinshaw of Montana, five grandchildren, and two sisters, Eileen Chmiel of Danvers, MA and Barbara Roby of Beverly, MA. Jimmy was predeceased by his brother, Robert Burkinshaw.
