Obituary

Marcel E. "Mike" Demers, 78 of Londonderry, NH, died Tuesday, October 7, 2003 in Rex Hospital, Raleigh, NC. Mr. Demers was born in Manchester, NH on July 31, 1925, a son of the late Aime and Eva (Bettez) Demers. He lived many years in Londonderry. He attended Pinkerton Academy in Derry. Mr. Demers was a WWII Veteran serving with the Merchant Marines. He worked as an Electrical Superintendent for Public Service of NH, retiring in 1987 . He was a member of ARENU. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Derry. He enjoyed tennis, golf and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Rita A. Demers of Londonderry, three daughters, Margaret McCune of Londonderry, Catherine Gelinas of Naples, FL, Mary Paul of Raleigh, NC, four Sons, Michael Demers of Londonderry, William Demers of Bassfield, MS, Thomas Demers of Methuen, MA, Robert Demers of Bow, 13 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; one brother, Roland Demers of Derry, several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 14th at 10:00am in the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Friends may call on Monday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 9 at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. The burial will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Londonderry.
